The dash would prove to be one of the most challenging aspects of the project. Since the original dash parts were pretty well worn, I'd be replacing everything. The goal would be to retain a design similar to the original, but slightly more modernized and less "chunky" looking. There will be a new binnacle and gauge cluster and the center controls area would house a 7" touch screen to manage audio/visual/navigation, etc.
This first shot is where it all started. I traced the original dash panel onto a sheet of 1/2" MDF board.
